Meet Apex Ultrasound
Apex Ultrasound is a dedicated diagnostic and interventional ultrasound service running from Health Village Esher, with a second site in New Malden. It is a team of consultant radiologists and clinical ultrasound specialists rather than a single practitioner, and that shapes what it can offer.
The founder clinician is Ms Fatin Mohsin, who has worked across the NHS and private sector for nearly two decades. She holds a DMU and an MSc in Medical Ultrasound from Imperial College London and a further postgraduate certificate from King’s College London, is a member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society, and holds accreditations from the Society of Vascular Technology of Great Britain and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. She has been a Senior Clinical Ultrasound Specialist at Kingston Hospital since 2012.
Alongside her, Dr Hasanein Al-Hasani is a consultant radiologist who serves as Clinical Lead for Ultrasound and as Governance and Quality Lead. He trained at Barts and the London and across Surrey and London, is a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists, and carries out ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures. Echocardiography is handled by Mr Didar Alam, a specialist echo scientist certified by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.
Scans cover general health, women’s health and men’s health, from abdominal and thyroid imaging to pelvic and fertility scans, echocardiography and musculoskeletal work. You can book directly without a GP referral letter, and GPs and consultants can refer through a dedicated route.

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
Mr Didar Alam — Diploma in Cardiovascular Sciences, certified by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. Reports paediatric, adult congenital and adult echocardiograms to British Society of Echocardiography guidelines.
