Male Hormone Health

Men can also experience age-related hormone changes, including a gradual decline in testosterone. Symptoms may include fatigue, low libido, low mood, erectile dysfunction, reduced muscle mass and increased weight around the abdomen. The clinic provides thorough assessment and support for male hormone health, including personalised treatment plans and testosterone replacement therapy where appropriate. Care also includes comprehensive blood testing, including PSA monitoring for prostate health, alongside advanced prostate screening with Stockholm3 testing.

Blood Tests & Screening

Blood Tests Hormone Levels Screening Health Check
Blood tests can provide valuable information about your overall health and hormone balance, helping you make informed decisions and identify potential issues early. They are often a useful part of monitoring health and wellbeing, particularly when symptoms may not have an obvious cause. For menopause and perimenopause consultations, blood tests are optional and not always necessary. The Female Health Clinic can arrange testing before, during or after your appointment where appropriate. Patients are also welcome to provide recent results from their own GP if available.

Weight Management

Medicated Weight Loss Hormonal Weight Gain Nurse-Led Reviews
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can contribute to stubborn weight gain, particularly around the abdomen, which may feel difficult to manage with diet and exercise alone. The clinic offers a medically supervised weight loss service designed to support long-term, sustainable results. Throughout treatment, patients are closely monitored by an experienced nurse, with regular reviews of progress, weight changes and any potential side effects to help ensure treatment remains safe, effective and appropriate for each individual.

The Female Health Clinic also supports younger patients aged 18 and over with conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Cervical smear tests are also available for women who would prefer more frequent screening or who wish to have them carried out privately within the clinic.

Follow-up & Reviews

A follow-up appointment is usually arranged 8 to 12 weeks after your initial consultation to review your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment. Once your symptoms are stable, some patients choose to continue their HRT care through their NHS GP. The clinic can support and help coordinate this where appropriate.
