Meet The Female Health Clinic
The Female Health Clinic is a modern, private healthcare clinic specialising in menopause, perimenopause and hormone health. Founded and led by Dr Helen Fawcett and Dr Joanne Horgan, the clinic has helped thousands of patients across six locations in England, including Health Village Esher. All consultations are available in person, by video, or by telephone.
Esher consultations are led by Dr Joanne Horgan. Dr Horgan is an advanced menopause specialist accredited by the British Menopause Society, has been a GP for 28 years working as a senior partner at West Byfleet Health Centre, and completed her specialist menopause training at University College Hospital London. The wider FHC network includes six BMS-accredited menopause specialists and three GPs with a special interest in menopause, all working under the guidance of Drs Horgan and Fawcett.
FHC’s tagline is Healthcare for Him and Her — alongside menopause and perimenopause care, the clinic treats male hormone health and andropause, runs a private GP service, offers blood tests and Stockholm3 prostate cancer screening, supports a medicated weight loss programme and provides aesthetic services through their AgeHappy clinic. Every patient receives an individualised treatment plan, with complex needs (high-risk cancer genes, premature ovarian insufficiency) handled with the same depth of specialism. The clinic is recognised by the BMS as a specialist centre and is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

New Patient Consultation
A one-hour consultation with a BMS-accredited menopause specialist. Your doctor will discuss your medical history, symptoms, and possible treatment options, creating a personalised plan tailored to your needs.
Treatment Begins
If HRT is recommended, your specialist will prescribe a tailored plan that may include oestrogen, progesterone and/or testosterone. Prescriptions are issued privately and can be dispensed at any UK pharmacy.
Follow-Up & Monitoring
A follow-up appointment is typically arranged 6 to 12 weeks after your first consultation to review progress and adjust treatment. From there, some patients manage their HRT through their NHS GP.
